iPhone 16e vs iPhone SE (2022): How has Apple improved its budget phone?

Three years have passed between the release of the third generation iPhone and the iPhone 16e, the latest Apple budget phone. This is a relatively long time for mobile developments to evolve – and that the price of posters increases alongside those improvements.

2022 iPhone SE required a starting price of $ 429, while the iPhone 16e starts with a significantly higher $ 599. Apple has removed the older iPhone, cheaper from its store, so you will either need to buy it second hand or pile up in a third -party seller before it goes out of stock. Ancestors on the iPhone 16E have begun, with availability starting on February 28.

So what improvements will you find on the iPhone 16e, and how is it compared to its predecessor? Here is everything to know.

Display and build

While the iPhone SE of 2022 had a 4.7 -inch LCD screen, the iPhone 16e levels things with a 6.1 -inch OLED screen (still with a 60Hz refresh, though excuse me). With 16e, you will not yet get some features found on Apple’s most precious flag phones like Dynamic Island or a camera control button, but you will get a action button.

Perhaps the biggest design change is that, with switching to a full front screen, Apple has removed the Home button on the iPhone 16e, choosing instead of the Face ID matching the rest of its current phones. 16e has also improved in a USB-C port, pronouncing the end for lightning. No phone has a headphone outlet.

Both iPhone SE and iPhone 16e have aluminum frames, with the largest size of 16e giving it a little more weight: 167 grams, against 144g of SE. The iPhone SE has an IP67 rating for water resistance, while 16e collides with an IP68 estimate.

Comparison

The iPhone SE and iPhone 16e each have a rear camera: a 12 -megapixel extensive camera if a 48 megapixel wide at 16e. 16e also improves the front camera from 7 megapixel to 12 megapixel.

Both phones shoot 4K video in 60 frames per second.

Battery and charging

Apple has been looking for improved battery on the iPhone 16E, which the company says can support up to 26 hours of video review, against 15 hours on the iPhone SE. This longer battery life is mainly due to the iPhone 16e packaging of the first Apple 5G modem, called C1. The company calls it “the most effective energy modem ever on an iPhone”.

Both phones support 20 wire-wire charging and 7.5-wireless wireless charging.

Processor, Intelligence and Apple storage

The iPhone 2022 works on the A15 Bionic Chip, while the iPhone 16e is made possible by the A18-as well as iPhone $ 799. This means that Apple’s latest phone can also support Apple Intelligence, just like the iPhone 16 formation and iPhone 15 Pro. It also supports urgent SOS and satellite connection, so you can send messages of emergency services and your loved ones, even when you do not have a mobile connection.

While the iPhone SE comes with 64 GB, 128 GB, or 256 GB storage, the iPhone 16e offers a larger 512 GB storage option, as well as 128 GB and 256 GB options. No phone has expandable storage.
